The project is a partnership between George Mason University and McKinley Technology High School in Washington, DC. It will include 100 high school students from McKinley and other high schools and 100 middle school students from urban schools. During the academic year the project proposes a 3-week gaming camp which meets four hours each day while the academic year activities include 24weeks of activities for three hours each week. The project introduces fundamental concepts of IT as students develop human animation, multimedia authoring and rapid game prototyping using 3D tools. The project will include hands-on, inquiry-based activities with a strong emphasis on non-traditional approaches to learning and the intensive use of information technologies such as: web-based programming, GIS, architecture, database management, motion capture, LAN network management. The project targets urban traditionally underrepresented students from the Washington, DC area with the vision of being a model for other distance learning efforts.

Love played by Marlon Wayans, and Harry’s girlfriend Marion Silver played by Jennifer Connelly. The movie opens with a scene in which Harry is in the process of taking his mother’s television against her wishes. His mother is addicted to her T.V., and now that Harry has left home, it is her whole universe. Her favorite show is one where a man who has lost a lot of weight runs a game show. Her dream is to some day be on his show. Harry’s friend Tyrone is waiting outside the apartment to help him push the T.V. across town to the appliance man’s store where they sell the set and use the money to buy Heroin. The next scene shows Sara, Harry’s mother retriving the set back from the appliance man for what is most likely the hundreth time or so. Sara is what we call an â€Å"enabler†; she turns her head to whatever Harry does and makes excuses for him. From there Harry and Tyrone get high with Harry’s girlfriend Marion. Farkhanda Wajibul SOCU 303 Week 2 Assignment 2 March 20, 2016 Personal Narrative What kind of name is Princess Ja’Nai Farkhanda Ibinah â€Å"DVS† Abdul-Wajibul Lavender (pronounced Juh-NÄ -Ya , Fuh- Con- Da, Devious, Wa- Gee- Boo)? It’s a unique name and it happens to be mine. It has been mispronounced, the butt of many jokes, even a bullying tool, but most importantly it is the perfect name for me, because its meaning is true to my life and personality. Princess was the name given to me by my aunt who felt in her words â€Å"your parents were crazy wanting to name you WhyJahBull and all that. I said the child’s name is Princess and that’s what I’m going to call her†. Ja’Nai is the name given by my mother. She got it from the bible, it means God answers. A few years ago, she told me she had been pronouncing it wrong all these years and that it’s actually pronounced Juh- Nai like Sinai. Farkhanda is a Persian name given to me by my father it means happy and fortunate. I’m not sure what Ibinah means, it is the middle name given by my father, and so is Abdul-Wajibul my last name.
